Chamonix is an atmospheric,
historical town surrounded by snow-capped peaks, glaciers
and nature reserves.
The ski lifts of Aiguille Du Midi, Le Brevent, La Flegere,
Les Grands Montets, Le Tour-Vallorcine are all open in the
summer to ensure your enjoyment of the Chamonix Valley.
Mont
Blanc attracts visitors from all over
the world. Approximately 2000 people a year fulfil their
life ambitions and climb to the summit of Mont Blanc,
fitness and weather permitting (guide recommended).
There
is however another way. In 20 minutes 2 cable cars will
take you from Chamonix to the Aiguille Du Midi at an
altitude of 3842m just below Mont Blanc. From the
observation platform you have a panoramic view of the
towering mountain peaks of the French, Swiss and Italian
Alps.

From the Auguille du Midi you can take the Helbronner cable
car to Italy. An awe inspiring 5-km journey over an amazing
landscape of endless snow, seracs & crevasses.
The
Montenvers train will take you up to an altitude
of 1913m to the famous Mer de Glace and Ice grotto.
The Mont Blanc Tramway the highest rack & pinion
train in France travels to 2372m.

speeding, canyoning, fly fishing, windsurfing, horse &
pony riding, golf, paragliding, helicopter trips, tennis,

in Lake Geneva just south of Montreaux.
Lausanne is about 10 minutes further along the lake.
Within 1 to 2 hours you can visit excellent wine producers
and vineyards in Italy, Switzerland and France.
